CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION

CITY HALL HAS REOPENED

21st DISTRICT WILL REMAIN CLOSED PER STATE ORDER

City Hall will open for business including birth certificates, building permits, bill payments, etc. on Monday, June 1, 2020.  Information about other City buildings re-opening will be made public soon.

City Hall will be open from 9am-5pm Monday through Thursday

 and 8am-4pm Friday.

21st District Court, Maplewood Community Center and the Garden City Civic Arena will continue to be closed to the public until further notice.

City staff will continue to serve the public and conduct city business during regular business hours via phone, email and online. For a list of City phone numbers CLICK HERE.

POLICE, FIRE AND EMERGENCY DPS SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED.

REGULAR TRASH PICK-UP IS NOT AFFECTED.

COMPOST PICK UP WILL CONTINUE, BUT COMPOST MAY BE PICKED UP AFTER YOUR REGULAR DAY.  LEAVE COMPOST OUT IF NOT COLLECTED ON YOUR REGULAR TRASH DAY.

LATE FEES AND PENALTIES WILL NO LONGER BE WAIVED ON WATER BILLS AFTER JULY 1

Water bills and other payments to the City can be handled online at www.gardencitymi.org or by phone at 844-392-3651 for a fee. For no fee, bills can be paid by check through the drop-box on the north side of City Hall facing Block Street or by mail.  All payments must be up-to-date.

21ST DISTRICT COURT

The 21st District Court is still closed to the public.  District Court payments can be made by phone by calling 734-793-1680 or by using the City’s drop-box.

PARKS_PROGRAMMING_20PARKS AND RECREATION

Limited Parks and Recreation programs have resumed.
  Playground equipment and ball fields have re-opned.

The Department of Public Service Building will be closed to public but will continue to accept deliveries from vendors.

All appointments for water meter replacements or other non-essential in-home will resume June 1.
